Estela Saez is a force of nature. Despite the limitations of Zoom she managed to herd the cats of Handshake 7 and facilitate some really good making [plus a large dollop of indifferent making by me which Estela rightly identified!]. I hugely enjoyed the input of my fellow Handshakers who made many profound and insightful comments that I am still thinking about today. In spite of a slow start by me with a computer connection that did not want to play nicely, I am working on a series of objects – as a result of the masterclass with Estela – that I am really enjoying making and are really making me think with a critical and editorial eye. The image [a ropey cellphone pic – apologies] displayed below shows the state of play with these objects as of 26th July 2022. I will post more, and hopefully better, images here as they unfold themselves more and become resolved.
Thank you for your wisdom and patience Estela and thank you fellow HandShakers. It’s lovely to be with you on this journey.
