The contrast in time

Monika sips green tea, I sip wine.

NZ is easy to contain, she says. She is speaking about bloody Covid.

This strange continuity with online graduations is forcing creativity.

I learn that working naked (meaning with less resources) forces ideas.

I send her photos of my work on the pearls necklace and she comments:

Classic pearl necklaces have special names depending on length; Opera, Bib, Princess, that’s cool.

She wants me to be categorical, to categorize. Not to invent more, but to re interpret a classic, referencing it cleverly.

A gift of a pearl necklace can be a curse; a duty to tradition, and it’s doomed to wear another woman’s pearls.

There can be inequality in the size, in the proportion and the rhythm, so I draw.

But it’s too much and in too many directions. Too many rhythms.

I’m looking for a nude methodology. A hierarchy for the body.

Meaning and significance, simplicity and body. It can be repetitive, standard. Supported by a message, words. Well selected words.

Rhythm, words, skin.

The lecture will depend on the reading of the viewer. Say something without saying much.

Consent, colour, decision, skin, rebel, choice, fair, fake, dark, dignity, submission, cruel, perfect, unfair, female, weight, power, right

Research and refine, gain clarity. A series will work, will talk.
