Artist statement

I aim to bring our history of ‘makers’ to light, exploring how the contemporary sits on the shoulders of
the working class. I intend to combine ceramics, blacksmithing and goldsmithing together to create
elegant yet ugly wearable works. Particularly focusing on how the personality and presence of the
maker/labourer is often left behind with the work.

2021. After graduating Rose spent 2022 establishing a workshop and client base. Participating in local
